Double Posts?? Empty Double Posts??

Post by Waters Cavies Mon Mar 14, 2011 10:08 am

Hello,

I have been in PM's alot today and have noticed that the replied I get from people PMing me is doubled. I don't need to read both same PMs and wonder if there's something in my profile preference or something that I can do to show up one PM instead of two of exactly the same messages?

Thanks!
Sasha

I can't think why that would be happening. It won't be anywhere in settings because it's not a preference but rather sounds like a glitch (but not one I have ever experienced, double posts once in a while but not PMs). Try clearing your inbox and starting again, and also avoid using the back button in your browser.

Confused

Are you sure it's not just the PM review? Or do you actually get two same-PM messages arrive in your inbox? So everytime you get a PM it says 'You have 2 new messages' ?

It just says 1 message, but it says the same thing twice. Just assumed it was meant to do that. Can`t see why it needs to though. The only difference is one has a little highlighted box that says `quote`. guess it`s so you can quote the pm back to the person who messaged you?

It's just because the bottom one is the beggining of the PM review, if that makes sense? If you have a long back and forth PM conversation with someone, you can review the whole convo in one place underneath the latest received PM from them, including all your replies. So it's just storing it there 'ready' for future additions, IYSWIM.
