CBF is back!
Hi All,
It has been some years since CBF closed down and whilst things have moved on in terms of how the internet is used, it has become clear that there is still a need for a place outside of social media for hobbyists and fanciers to get together to discuss, share advice and information and so on.
In recent times, the likes of FB has made things harder for animal related groups to continue, some have been shut down, advertising is no longer permitted and so on. So after much consideration I have decided to RE OPEN the forum!
Please bare with me as there will be a lot of 'cleaning up' to do and going through pages of settings, checking permissions and such - there might be some minor technical hiccups for the first few weeks, but if you notice any problems please let me know and I will investigate.
Unfortunately the last couple of years of data before the forum finally closed have been lost, but I have been able to succesfully restore everything up until 2012 which is good as there is a lot of valuable information and articles.
Finally, as the majority of people now scroll using a mobile device and forums were originally created with computers in mind, I have managed to install a PWA modification which allows easy mobile phone useage. If you would like to add CBF to your phone home screen (so that it acts much like an 'App') on iphone open cbf in your safari browser www.cavybreeder.com - click on the share icon centre bottom of your screen - scroll down and click 'Add to home screen' you should now have the CBF app on your phone for easy access. For Android, open Chrome, go to www.cavybreeder.com click menu (3 dots upper right corner) and tap 'Add to home screen'.
I am sure the demand for the forum will not be the same as before, but that's fine as things have changed, but please feel free to share amongst cavy friends far and wide.
