Spam protection
It has been noted that lately there is some kind of spam viral attack going around a lot of email inboxes. These emails can appear to come from a known email address, but bear in mind that email address is only being used as a "host" - if the email appears as obvious spam, then don't worry, they haven't sent it.
-DON'T click any links in such emails.
-DON'T open any attachments in such emails.
-Make sure the email is marked as SPAM but ensure your email provider hasn't listed the sender as spam/junk, as this could prevent the real person sending you further emails.
-Change your inbox password and urge the REAL account holder that sent you the email to do the same.
This isn't specific to any forum members or here - I just thought it would be worth posting this. Also when posting your email address up online, prevent doing so as a direct link... for example thisismyemailblahblah@yahoo.co.uk - instead, replace @ with AT and ask others to replace it back when contacting. This prevents automated spam bots from being able to send spam to those accounts.
